Spacey Studios developed a complete brand identity for Mess To Jess, a newly established domestic cleaning business servicing Benalla and the surrounding region in rural Victoria. As a new business entering a competitive local market, the brand needed to build trust quickly while feeling warm, approachable and distinctly different from the generic visual language commonly used within the cleaning industry. We began with discovery and creative direction, positioning Mess To Jess as a dependable local service that homeowners could recommend with confidence. From there, we explored a range of logo concepts built around the transformation expressed in the business name, including typography-led directions, cleaning-inspired layouts and icon-based approaches. The strongest elements were then refined into a distinctive identity that communicates the shift from “mess” to clean while incorporating a subtle spark motif to add personality and polish. The final identity centres on a bold wordmark supported by a flexible system of primary, secondary, stacked, simplified and brand-mark configurations. We also explored multiple colour directions, balancing Jess’s preference for neutral tones and strong black-and-white applications with bolder options designed to help the business stand out in-market. Each variation was tested for clarity and consistency across practical applications, including uniforms, signage, drink bottles, social media and print. The completed project also included business card design, social media story templates and promotional graphics, giving Mess To Jess a practical and cohesive foundation for launch. The result is a memorable, versatile brand that feels professional without becoming corporate, and approachable without losing credibility — helping the business establish a strong presence across Benalla and surrounding communities.
